Tofino is a village of just over 15,000 year round residents located on the east coast of Vancouver Island at the tip of the Esowista Peninsula. It is situated in the centre of Clayoquot Sound surrounded by the Pacific Ocean and the largest expanse of low-level, old-growth rainforest left in North America.

The quieter winter months have been increasing in popularity as visitors flock to the picturesque fishing village to go Storm Watching. From November to March Tofino is front row to a spectacular show of the fury and force of the pounding Pacific Ocean wind and waves.

Tofino is accessible by air at a small airport located a short drive from town - floatplanes can land on the inlet in town. It is also accessible by car via Highway 4 from Port Alberni and by bus.
